Kelsey Kauffman for Indiana
Democrat  ·  Putnam & Montgomery Counties

Making our voices heard at the Statehouse.

Kelsey Kauffman stands for democracy and due process for all people. She opposes ICE, mass deportation, white nationalism, and cruelty in any form of government. These policies do not reflect her values—or the values of many people in Putnam and Montgomery Counties.

In her own words

Why I'm running

I am running because voters who oppose the most extreme politics deserve a voice and a name on the ballot that reflects their values. Casting a vote should never feel futile. My candidacy exists so that Hoosiers who are deeply concerned about the direction of our state and country can register that concern clearly and publicly.

This campaign is not about demonizing individuals. It is about policies, values, and consequences — and about speaking plainly rather than spinning positions to win elections. Although many of the most troubling policies we face originate at the federal level, the Indiana General Assembly may be the most important line of defense available to protect Hoosiers from their worst effects. I believe it is worth saying so — out loud, and on the record.

Our district

Where we live. Where we fight.

Indiana House District 44 is home to farmers, teachers, small-business owners, students at DePauw and Wabash, retirees, tradespeople, and neighbors who know each other by name. It's covered bridges and courthouse squares, cornfields at sunset and Friday-night football.

House District 44 covers all of Putnam County and the western portion of Montgomery County.

The full ticket

We win together.

Kelsey is proud to stand alongside the Putnam and Montgomery County Democrats and every Democratic candidate on the ballot this November.

Change doesn't happen with one race. It takes a full slate of candidates willing to show up and fight for our communities — and neighbors willing to knock on doors, make calls, and turn out voters.
